Roma 3:0: Dybala Inspires AS Roma To Emphatic Win As Mourinho's Charges Go Top Of Serie A

Jose Mourinho's AS Roma continued their inch-perfect start to the season with a resounding 3-0 victory over Monza A Paulo Dybala brace, which took his Serie A tally to 100, plus a second-half header from Ibanez ensured the Giallorossi returned to winning ways after sharing the spoils with Juventus last time out Up next for Mourinho and his charges is an away fixture against Udinese on Sunday, September 4 at the Dacia Arena.

AS Roma leapt to the summit of the Serie A standings with a resounding victory over newly-promoted Monza at the Stadio Olimpico on Tuesday night. A first-half brace from marquee signing Paulo Dybala and a single strike from Brazilian defender Roger Ibanez ensured Jose Mourinho's charges continued their unbeaten start to the season.

Fresh from salvaging a hard-fought one-all draw with Juventus, the Giallorossi relentlessly attacked the goal area of Monza in pursuit of the game's opener.

And it came as little to no surprise when the entire Stadio Olimpico was sent to raptures as Dybala opened the scoring and invariably broke his goal-scoring duck for the Rome-based outfit.

After being put through on goal by Tammy Abraham, Dybala weaved his way past his opponents and unleashed a magnificent effort from the edge of the box into the bottom right corner to open the score for Roma in the 18th minute. Ten minutes later Mourinho was forced to shuffle his cards with former Manchester United defender Chris Smalling coming on for Marash Kumbulla, who picked an injury.

The forced substitution did not alter the trajectory of the game as Dybala took advantage of a Tammy Abraham blocked effort, before hitting a low effort into the centre of the goal to score his centenary goal in the Italian top-flight.

With no further additions to the scoreline, Mourinho's men went into the break with a deserved two-nil lead. Roma continued from where they left off after recess and put the game beyond the reach of Monza when Roger Ibanez planted a header into the middle of the goal.

Monza's Jose Machin would try his luck with a shot from the edge of the box, but the ball could only crash against the crossbar as the Giallorossi held on to secure their third win of the campaign.
