Ben Foster has questioned the motive of Casemiro for joining Manchester United, arguing the Brazilian midfielder is leaving Real Madrid for financial reasons. Casemiro is on the cusp of signing a four-year deal at Old Trafford, with United set to cough up a fee of £60 million which will rise after add-ons.
The 30-year-old midfield juggernaut is set to become one of United’s top earners at the club, only coming behind goalkeeper David De Gea and forward Cristiano Ronaldo.
Foster, who was on the books of Manchester United between 2005 and 2010, is not the only ex-player to have questioned Casemiro's motive with Ferdinand questioning the fee United are paying.
