Europa League: Arsenal vs PSV to Go Ahead as Planned Despite Premier League Postponements

Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven have confirmed that their Europa League clash with Arsenal scheduled for next Thursday will go ahead as earlier planned. According to Metro UK, all Premier League, Championship, WSL and even grassroots fixtures set for the weekend were scrapped as a mark of respect for the Queen.


However, all the seven Premier League sides involved in European action are set to play their matches as earlier planned.


PSV have now clarified that their Europa League clash with Arsenal will be played at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday, September 15, and will not be affected by the postponement of matches.


It is understood that the Met Police informed Arsenal on Friday that they were ‘comfortable’ with the clash against PSV being played. Chelsea are the other team that will be in action in London in midweek, with the Blues set to host RB Salzburg in the Champions League.
