Chelsea have finally made official the signing of Cesare Casadei from Inter Milan.
The midfielder has been shining in the Italian side’s Primaverateams, and played a starring role for Italy at the U19 Euros this summer. There he featured in the team of the tournament alongside Chelsea academy product Harvey Vale, and fellow summer signing Carney Chukwuemeka.
The arrival of those two, along with several other teenagers this summer, seems to be part of a strong drive to recruit the most talented youth from across the continent, and academy director Neil’ Bath’s involvement in this deal shows just that.
